Today i received the Information, that our friends Zul and Eric from Singapore finally got sentenced for organizing HolyCrit! They are facing two weeks in jail, a 7000$ fine (p.P.) and a 12 month revoke of their drivers licenses. Yeah this has nothing to do with us, but it has to do with our global community. Imagine facing a jailterm for organising a race. It´s unthinkable. Imagine to pay a shitload of money for gathering a bunch of people to do what we all love - cycling. I cannot imagine how Eric and Zul must feel right now.
They were the first to support Faz Adhili, they made it possible for our Friend Chen Zhencai to participate in RedHookCrit NYC in 2015. From what our Photographer Nils experienced on his Trip to Singapore last year, these two still put huge efforts into the "urban cycling community" of their country, while waiting for their sentence...for me this whole thing is sad and unbelievable as well. I really hope that someday Holy Crit will become legal and that your country, but also everybody else in this world acknowledges the fact, that all you did was for a good reason! I hope that someday we can all race together in your country.
On behalf of Fixedpott i wish you a lot of strenghth in these dark days. We love you!
Spread the Word! Free Eric, Free Zul!
