Just happened in Sengkang today.
A Chinese National couple came knocking at every door at BLK 267B compassvale link, claiming that it is in accordance to the so call "Sofa Insurance Policy", that Town Council is providing such service in checking for bugs in your sofa.
It is clear that they are Chinese Nation as their accent were obvious.
They also claimed that you would have to pay a fee for them to conduct the check on your sofa.
Don't get SCAM! Spread the words.
