Out at weekly Block visit tonight. We covered five blocks tonight in Punggol Way. NEA and Town council staff also assisted in sharing information about Zika. Residents were aware of the need to take personal precautions against Zika and were also mindful that they needed to take steps to keep their households free of breeding areas for the Aedes mosquito. In so doing, they protect their families and their neighbours.
Thanks to the Punggol West volunteers for coming together to support the outreach. Zika may be here for a while and we will need everyone's help to keep the community safe from the virus.
