We received this angry complaint from a reader, who forwarded us this incident about a man who was stopped by Traffic Police for allegedly using his handphone.
However, the man denied using his handphone and the Traffic Police has not proof to say that he did it.
What can drivers do in this case?
"Dear SPF,
One of your TP officer stopped my dad vehicle claiming my dad had been using his handphone(talking to someone) when driving when my dad told him that he didn't. After that, your officer asks my dad to unlock his phone and show it to him. After checking his phone call log/message/WhatsApp/etc which the last call/message was from the day before.
Can I check why was my dad issued with a warning when he didn't even use his phone when driving and why did the TP officer issue him a warning after checking his phone which shows no evidence that he had been talking/messaging someone?
Regards
Kheng Wei"
