I am an Uber driver and I would like to complain about their continuously declining incentives. For full-time uber drivers like me who put in about 10 hours a day, I get about $150 to $180 a day from nett fares. After deducting about $60 for rent and $50 for fuel, I am left with about $45 to $70 in daily profits and the monthly income from fares alone is quite low at about $1800.
What most of us full-time drivers like is the weekly incentives. Because we can easily hit 125 trips a week, we get an additional $400 cash bonus a week. This adds up to $1600 a month and effectively doubles our driving income. However, now they are reducing our incentives to $300! $400 in incentives gone like that for someone earning $3k means a 12% drop in income!
Don’t believe in the bullshit guaranteed hours because you need like 1.65 trips per hour. This is not possible as some people have super long trips and the target is hard to attain.
