Beware if you take Uber with family which includes 2 adults, 2 children, 1 toddler-on-lap, making total 5 passengers. They don't care even if it's a baby. It's considered 5 passengers! And that’s not even the worst part. It's still fine if they refuse to take you in the car. Or tell you in advance about extra charge.
Instead, what they do is: driver just keep quiet, never refuse, never inform, and after I've been charged the correct rate, some hours later, Uber will just send a email notification that "we've corrected your fare"! And they added $15 additional! No ifs, no buts, no clarifications.
And even worse, when I dispute it, this is what they say "Please note that, even babies and children's are considered as individual passenger.". If the law says the same thing,
I guess there's nothing much I can say. But, charging without informing in advance is a such a bad practice. Can't believe this company practices this.
