Dear All Singapore Stuff,
I am a taxi driver who ply the roads everyday. When drivers go into the bus lane, traffic police or LTA will stop you and fine you for the offence but this does not apply to buses themselves.
LTA already give them a special lane just for their own use but what do these bus drivers do? They come out of the bus lane and take up the other lanes which ordinary cars use.
They are big vehicles and move at slower speed, and blocks the flow of traffic, make everyone travel at a snail pace. Should there be a penalty for these public buses who refuse to use their bus lane and instead take the normal lanes?
Traffic rules should be fair to all motorist, we obey the rules, buses should also play by the rules and now inconvenience others.
