Dear A.S.S. Editor
Why is it that on MRT stations, we often hear some very redundant announcements, things that people will automatically do without the need to be told. Anyone else getting annoyed by this?
But when it comes to delays and emergencies, sometimes no announcements made over the PA system. The SOP on the MRT stations really flawed. Imagine hearing announcements like "Attention please. If you are unable to board the train at Platform A, please wait for the next train." Of course have to wait! Or "Attention please. For your safety, please do not stand near the escalator landing." Who stands near escalator landings when your aim is to get into the trains fast. Or "Attention please. For quicker boarding, please move to a less crowded area along the platform. Thank you." Who wants to to go to crowded area to quickly board?
But when emergency situations arrived, no announcements made. All passengers left clueless. Well done!
