Dear A.S.S. Editor
LTA has just announced that the speed limit for the MRT trains on the East West line will be increased back to 80kmh, back to the normal speed before the works for the sleeper replacement project commenced.
Now that the works are over, the MRT trains can move back up to a faster speed. Maybe this will help finally to ease the congestion on the trains every morning, as people rush off to work. But, with the spate of latest breakdowns that has tarnished the MRT image for the past five years, hopefully the higher speeds does not mean more breakdowns coming our way.
If after this latest round of sleeper replacement project, there are still frequent MRT breakdowns, then we take the bus to work. And LTA will be back to square one to solve why MRT always breakdown.
