Lee Hsien Loong has angered China with his veiled but public criticism of the giant's actions in the South China seas.
Reading through the below account by SCMP on the chronology of the events, one cannot help but ponder:
1. Why did Lee choose to chide a major economic and military power so publicly instead of quietly working behind the scenes - considering that this issue is driven by very strong Chinese nationalist undercurrents?

2. Why does he and Vivian Balakrishnan think that a small little red dot like Singapore should be so vocal on this issue?
Does Lee suffer from a strong dose of delusion, thinking that he could fill the shoes of his father on the international stage and that his views would be heard and respected?
