Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will starting collecting the iris images of Singapore citizens and SPRs starting 1 January 2017. This comes after amendments to the National Registration Act (NRA) which strengthens ICA operations.
Iris images will be collected during NRIC registration and re-registration and during the passport application or renewal process.
Selected SingPost employees will be authorised to enrol iris images at selected SingPost outlets for NRIC registration and re-registration.
