CHAO GENG AMOS YEE JUST SABO ALL LEGIT PATIENTS OF MENTAL ILLNESS WITH SHIT VIDEO

$
0
0

<Facebook post by Drake Law>

If you don't realise how damaging Amos Yee's video on escaping national service is to the mental health community, let me explain it to you:

1. By faking a mental condition to get out of NS, you are creating the image that having a mental condition is some form of privilege, that you can use it as a ticket to get out of things you don't enjoy doing. This completely invalidates the suffering of mental health patients who NEED to be excused from certain obligations and activities. People won't see mental conditions as a form of illness, but as excuses. The ones who then need to get help won't get help because they are afraid no one will believe them and will see them as 'fakers'. And you are basically adding to the stigma which is already a big problem.

2. Mental health resources are limited. I know people who have to wait for weeks, sometimes even months before they can make an appointment to see a professional. I don't even know more than 4 places where you can seek help for mental conditions. (I apologise if there are more). By faking a mental illness, you are basically taking up space and getting in the way of the recovery for many people.

3. You are taking advantage of a disease, which is a disgusting thing to do as a human being. There are people who struggle to make it through the day and you are trivialising the entire experience by making it a tool for you to get your way in life. I did not spend all this time and energy on my recovery for you to turn it into some disgusting opportunity.

There are more points that I'm not going to get into, but if you think I am making a big deal out of nothing, try being sick with an illness that most people don't believe in, and then having to wait weeks/months before you can see a professional. And during all of this some random butthead comes in and makes things even harder for you because he wants things to go his way.

I don't even know how to get started on people who say they are 'unstable' and have 'depression' in order to get their partner to stay in a relationship. You people are gross.
Mental conditions are real. They are illnesses and should be treated as such. They are not a pawn for you to get out of situations you don't want to be in. Stop using other people's sufferings to make your life better.

Hello there, i would like to share my unfortunate experience with Shiseido (Isetan Westgate) today.

I wanted to get a cream as i have a dark spot on my right cheek. So i asked the staff nicely to see if there is a suitable item for me.

Without looking at my skin, she suddenly said "Oh you can use Aloe Vera. Just go to any pharmacy".

"You mean non of your products can get rid of dark spots?", i asked n feeling confused by what she said earlier.

"Err have but very pricey", she smirked arrogantly.

I have already informed Shiseido via fb

Shiseido was kind enough to offer me another experience

I can never forget the look n treatment rendered by the sales staff today

MOM REFUSES TO HELP S'PORE PMET UNFAIRLY DISMISSED IN 1 WEEK BY JAPANESE COMPANY

$

0

I would like share with you and hopefully to your readers as well on my case
of unfair dismissal, lack of employee protection and the powerless MOM

After hearing much about what the Prime Minister and Labour Chief had said
about retraining the workers in the workforce, I was disappointed that many
of these measures targets at workers but not PMEs.

With the upcoming setup of the College of Professional and Continuing
Education (PaCE) by NTUC and NTU, we finally see some focus on the importance
of retraining PMEs. However there is still a strong lack of employee
protection from the government as well as the union especially for PMEs.

Since graduation, I had been working in a few US based consumer companies and
I recently joined the consumer goods division of a Japan based beauty company
as a Brand Executive.

I was excited and very much looked forward to embarking on this role.

I was offered a role on Friday evening, 15/4/16 at about 1810 to start work
on Monday, 18/4/16. As it was after office hours, I briefly found out about
the basic salary and the quantum for grooming and hp allowances as well as
the leave/MC entitlement and the 2 month notice period in the event of
resignation from the hiring manager.

On Monday, the HR manager told me that she could not prepare my contract as
the hiring manager had forgotten to bring my copies of certifications from
home. As I had to attend the upcoming APEC seminar held offsite, therefore I
could not sign the letter of acceptance till I return to office either on
Thursday or Friday that week.

On Friday morning 22/4/16, the hiring manager took back the folder containing
vital information about the brands that I will be managing. I thought she
just wanted to add more contents or wanted to reference the materials inside
so I handed it to her then continued to work on her assigned task.

To my dismay, on Friday noon, I was terminated and given 5 days salary. I
then realized that the dismissal/termination was planned but was not made
known to me because all confidential information was taken back from me in
the morning. Reasons cited from both the HR manager as well as the hiring
manager were

“I don’t think you gel with the team”
“I had hire many people before and I don’t think it will work”
“There is a lack of chemistry”

I was disappointed and felt unjust for the reasons provided for my
termination as I am only there for 5 days (with first day as office opening,
2 days offsite and another 1 day of brand meetings) and I needed time to get
used to the culture and organization. There were no other concrete reasons
provided such as absence without leave or misconduct that warrant my
dismissal.

Also, I strongly felt that they had made use of my ignorance of the HR
policies and employment act as well as the fact that no written contract was
signed. It made terminating me with immediate effect easy. From the verbal
offer on the phone, I understand that the notice period should be 2 months.

In the opening speech of the offsite conference, President/CEO talks about
the company’s Mission, Value, Way and he emphasize on the fact that the
company values all employees and talent and wants to retain and groom them
because employees are their best asset.

It is also in their Mission, Value, Way statement that they

“We respect the character and individuality of everyone in the work place,
in all their diversity, and strive to develop and grow together.”
“We strive to maintain a dialogue with our co-workers, and are committed to
their growth as well as our own.”
“We strive to conduct fair evaluations.”
“We work conscientiously and maintain a clear distinction between
professional and private matters.”

Clearly they went against what they preached as I felt I was not treated
fairly. My dismissal was more subjective than objective. The way they had
dismissed me is not in any manner professional as reasons quoted by them was
very subjective and weak. Moreover, there was no written employment contract
signed.

What made matter worst was when I wrote to Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on this
case, they asked me to book a session to see their advisor. The MOM advisor
first talked about the Key Employment Term that all employers have to issue
to employees when they come onboard starting 1 apr 16 and that MOM will not
be strictly enforcing this requirement for the time being. As a non HR
person, I had not heard about this new requirement. I told the advisor that
my employment starts after 1 apr but he was rather nonchalant about it.

Also, the MOM advisor was not empathetic about my situation despite me
stressing the point that I was being played out by my employer with no
contract and no written letter of official termination/dismissal. All he
could say was there is nothing they could do about it and it is unlikely that
the investigation team or the labour court can help me seek redress. I was
disappointed and upset and MOM is so powerless against incorrigible
employers. I was not offered any solutions and alternatives by MOM but only
with added stress all they could say was, please me more cautious in your
next employment (sounds like a sarcastic remark to me).

At such, I would like to urge the editors to look into reporting/publishing
my case so many more that had also been unfairly dismissed whether they are
workers or PMEs would step forward. Also at the same time, raise the
awareness of the public as well as union and government that there is a
strong lack of employee protection in Singapore and there is so much more
that can be improved on.

Thanks

Tan

GUILT-STRICKEN MOTHER OF DECEASED STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE

15 year-old Catholic High student Luke Chan had returned from a school trip to Shanghai last November, but soon started to show signs of food poisoning the very same day.

On Saturday afternoon, the boy had started vomiting profusely. However, his mother decided that they would observe his condition and go consult a doctor the next day if the situation warranted it.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck as Luke fainted in his home in the evening. He was conveyed to hospital immediately where he succumbed to his illness shortly after. The cause of his death has been kept under wraps.

At Luke's funeral, Lianhe Wanbao reported that over 100 of Luke Chan's loved ones, including teachers and Catholic High classmates, attended to send him on his way. Reports also revealed that Luke's mother, who was stricken with guilt for not sending him to the hospital immediately when he displayed signs of food poisoning, had been harboring suicidal thoughts.

Alas, tragedy has struck twice in the Chan family.

Shin Min Daily News has reported that Luke's mother, decided to end her life by jumping out of her 4th storey Sin Ming Road HDB flat last Tuesday at about 5.30AM. She was 44.

WP MP FAISAL MANAP HELPS RESIDENTS BUT PAP GRASSROOT LEADER GETS CREDIT

$

<Complaint by Bernard Chen>

As part of his work as Member of Parliament, Mr Faisal writes appeal letters to the respective ministries on behalf of his constituents and in due course, he will receive cc-ed copies of the reply letters to the residents.

A rather interesting letter pop by the mailbox (not the first time though). MP Faisal, the member for Kaki Bukit wrote three letters for three different constituents regarding a spalling concrete issue that they were facing in their units. Letters were drafted on their behalf and sent to the Bedok Branch Office. The letter was signed off by MP Faisal himself as the elected member for Kaki Bukit, Aljunied GRC.

The reply was interesting and troubling to say the least, in particular the second paragraph.

"Nevertheless, we have informed Mr Shamsul Kamar bin Mohamed Razali, Advisor to Aljunied GRC Grassroots Organisation, about the spalling concrete problem. He has asked us to assist you [the constituent] to repair the spalling concrete and to look into co-paying the cost of the repair."

It was MP Faisal in his capacity as elected Member of Parliament who spoke to his residents and wrote the appeal letter, asking HDB to assist with the repairs. Instead it was the grassroots advisor appointed by the People's Association who was credited with assisting the resident. In the first place, the resident came to see MP Faisal and entrusted him to look into the issue, not the grassroots advisor. This was the not the first time he and the residents have received such a reply from HDB.

The branch office had informed the grassroots advisor, in this case Mr Shamsul Kamar and brought to his attention the issue faced by this resident. So by sitting in his office, Mr Shamsul is made aware of the issues that was studied and brought up by MP Faisal. Now that's convenient.

Should the HDB be doing this in the first place, and in so doing advance the interests of the grassroots advisor, and by extension the Party he represents?

MP Faisal in this letter was nothing but a footnote. He was mainly responsible for alleviating the problem(s) faced by his residents, but it was the appointed grassroots advisor (who derived his authority from the People's Association, a non-partisan entity according to Minister Chan Chun Sing) who was positioned and perceived as the problem solver. The elected member did the work and the grassroots advisor was informed. Is that "good politics"?

RESIDENTS PETITIONS DR CHEE TO CONTINUE SERVING BUKIT BATOK DESPITE LOSS TO PAP

<Petition by Mathew Soh>

Bukit Batok resident Mathew Soh has created a petition calling for SDP's Dr Chee to continue serving in Bukit Batok after the end of election poll. The resident wrote: "I am touched by your speeches in your rallies and believe that you are not given enough time to prove your worth, so please continue to stay on path and help the poor residents of Bukit Batok residents .Dr Chee, stay on Bukit batok to serve"

Likewise many of the other petition signatories reflected similar sentiments.

Eugene: Western part of the island is strongly piss and puke territory. Dr Chee being able to whittle down their votes share to the GE11 national average shows that their loutish behavior has only muted impact at best. Continue with your crusade Dr Chee against an increasingly tyrannical govt and a worsening dictatorship. Help to save the blind and ignorant among us

Ridwan: I am so devestrated that Dr Chee lost. I want him to stay and serve BB residents as a NCMP even if he lost!

Pamela Don't be disheartened. Don't give up. Still hope to c u around in bt Batok helping us.

Tam Shanon: I play my part as an individual , the decision of others don't effect me . I have a conscious ....

Jeff Chin: Dr Chee, I'm touched by your preserverance and motivation to stay in the political arena for years despite of all the challenges you have faced. Please continue to work hard on the ground!

DR CHEE SHOULD BE MADE NCMP AS REWARD FOR HIS STRONG SHOWING AGAINST PAP

$

Dear Editor and Readers of the Great A.S.S.

Warmest greetings to all of you after returning from Bt Gombak stadium in the wee hours penning my thoughts, where I traveled from Marine Parade just to lend support to the SDP and its candidate, Dr Chee.

Though the SDP lost in this by-election, I felt everything except despair especially after witnessing the conceding speech by the man himself. Dr Chee said he not only did not lose hope but felt he "never lost out" at all in this B.E. and furthermore, thanked the residents for giving him such a strong showing! He is right to say that, as the election was fought very dishonorably from the start by the PAP, its leaders, even from some masquerading 'opposition' figures and their good friends like Rahim Osman and Faustina which ironically hoped to have a "clean campaign". This B.E. only goes to show what was in their conceited heart all along and they have not changed one bit since clinging the landslide victory of 2015 that has since been reversed in this B.E.

The "consequences" so to say and strong showing of this B.E. should serve as momentum for both the WP and SDP moving forward into the next G.E. and the hardcore groundwork begins right now!

If anything, this B.E. has demonstrated that SG50, chasing after rainbows and honeymoon period for the PAP is over and they will have to pick up from the score of GE 2011 instead. Their favorite tactic of gerrymandering to "secure" the vote bank will not hold at the next election as they will not know how much and which ground has swung against their elite and capitalist policies, except for Bukit Batok where they will not have the guts to retain it as a SMC. One can tell from their measured congratulatory tone to Murali.

Thank you Bukit Batok residents, even though majority of you remain confused over the smear campaign against Dr Chee and did not elect him but enough of you stood out and pressed the "reset" button to send a clear message! If the NCMP seat did not fall on Daniel Goh, it would have gone to Dr Chee!

STROKE PATIENT DESPERATE TO FIND A JOB TO SUPPORT FAMILY OF 6

$

Dear ASS readers,

I am a Singaporean, male Malay in my 30s. I suffered a thrombotic stroke in 2013, which affect the left side of my body. I have since recovered my walking abilities but have yet to regain the use of my left arm.

I lost my job last year as my physical condition does not permit me to continue doing what I have been doing for more than 10 years. My wife is currently the sole breadwinner to our family of 6.

The struggle is real. I have tried seeking assistance from some family development agencies a few times. Long stories cut short, I give up trying. And now, I feel it's time for me to get up on my own feet and find myself a job. But then, no body wants a physically challenged person like me.

Desperate, I've decided to take it to Facebook. It's my last resort. All I need is a job. And hopefully, this post can reach out to someone who can really help me find one.

Thank you very much.

WHY ARE OUR CPF RETIREMENT FUNDS BEING MANAGED BY INEXPERIENCED SCHOLARS?

$
0
0

Our CPF has been seriously mismanaged and CPF members had better wake up to this fact.

For a start, look no further than the current CEO of CPF, ex paper general equivalent Chief of Navy Ng CheePeng. When Ng became CEO, CPF had total balances of about $280 billion. Questions:

– Was Ng qualified to manage $280 billion?
– Would any fund employ an ex military guy with no fund management background to manage even $28 million?

If ex generals are well qualified, then shouldn’t PAP be employing US generals who have vastly more real life experience instead of ours with only paper experience?

Ng served in the Navy from 1988 to 2014. But he had actually served only 22 years, not 26 years, because taxpayers funded his 4 years of studies at Oxford and Harvard. After leaving the navy, Ng was promoted to Deputy Secretary (Special Projects) in the Ministry of Manpower for about 6 months to gain some ‘experience’. CPF Board is a statutory board under the MOM.

Ng’s 6-month stint at MOM is a sort of highly-paid OJT to prepare him for his role as CEO of CPF Board. No one can now claim Ng has no ‘experience’.

(Ng has a brother who is currently the Perm Sec (Defence) and another who is SMOS (Transport). All three are ex paper generals)

In order to discharge his responsibilities to CPF members, Ng needed some fund management experience. He has none.

In reality, Ng also does not need to know how to manage a fund because our CPF has not been invested in any fund but loaned to the PAP government. Ng’s job is to place our CPF in a sort of a very long term fixed deposit with the government, the terms of its use dictated by PAP.

If Ng’s job is to simply hand over our CPF to the government – no questions asked – isn’t that something every Ah Kow or Ahmad knows? I mean, how difficult is it to go to a bank to open an FD account?

When we look at past CEOs of CPF Board, we begin to understand how screwed up our system is.

Ng’s predecessor is Yee Ping Yi who has depended on tax dollars his entire working life. Like paper general Ng, Yee had zero fund management experience prior to joining CPF Board.

How was this joker looking after the retirement interest of CPF members by lending our hard-earned savings to the government at rock bottom interest rates?
CPF Board CEO Yee Ping Yi

Joker’s predecessor was a LiewHeng San, another Jack of all trades scholar who joined the civil service in 1977 and was appointed:
-Director, MTI (1990 to 1992)
-PPS to DPM (1991 to 1995)
-Dep Sec for Communications (1995 to 1996)
CEO, LTA (1995 to 1998)
Dep Sec (Development ), PSD, 1998 to 2000)
Perm Sec, Law (2001 to 2005)
CEO, CPF Board (2005 to 2011)

Was scholar Liew qualified to manage our CPF funds?

Prior to LiewHeng San, PAP appointed Willie Tan, another SAF Scholar, as CEO from 2002 to 2005. Willie was with SAF/Mindef from 1974 to 1989. He had also served in the MND, PSD, HOH and Health Corporation of Singapore. These are all irrelevant experience where fund management is concerned.

The role of a CPF CEO is simply to take instructions from PAP in return for guaranteed promotion in salary and status. The issue of retirement shortfall has been festering for decades and there’s no solution in sight because we have been overpaying these clowns to do a job which they are not qualified.

CPF members should not imagine our interests are being looked after by these Jack of all trades CEOs. How can most of us ever retire comfortably when these million-dollar jokers are lending our hard-earned savings to the government in the form of very long-term fixed deposits?

MRT UNCLE TAKES PHOTO OF SLEEPING LADY, ZOOMS INTO HER CLEAVAGE

Dear Editors,

I saw these pictures online that a fellow MRT commuter took. This disgusting old man, he was seated opposite a lady commuter who was asleep. He used his smartphone and snapped pictures of her, after that he started zooming into his picture and focus on the lady's cleavage area.

Disgusting behaviour by this uncle but sure some jokes out there will say this is legal and nothing wrong. If the lady feel offended then she should not wear such low cut dress. Well say that the next time this happens to your wife, girlfriend or sisters.

Maybe it is a good time to consider having a separate section for ladies on the MRT to stop such perverted acts?

WP SUPPORTER: IS DR CHEE A LIABILITY THAT IS PULLING SDP DOWN?

$
0
0

Dear Editors,

I am an opposition supporter but I have to say some hard truths. Dr Chee has lost 5 elections and even in a by-election, he failed to overcome the 40% threshold, despite being on the ground longer than his opponent, despite facing a less well-known minority race opponent and despite the David Ong scandal.

It is not a good sign for SDP if the party's leader cannot get 40% even after 5 tries. Usually, the party leader is the one who pulls up votes, not pulls down votes. LTK, CST and JBJ could easily garner 40% of the votes.

Even a political lightweight from WP like Lee Li Lian could garner 41% on the first try in Punggol East, 54.5% on second try and 48.2% on the third try. Why? Because she has no baggage.

Everytime Dr Chee contests, whatever SDP's message is, it won't be heard. Because PAP will make the election a referendum on Dr Chee's character and his past. Dr Chee's past is a serious liability to SDP and it is pulling the party down.

Even though SDP has good policies and qualified professionals like Prof Tambyah, they are all doomed because the moment CSJ gives a speech, it becomes a referendum about his character. Individual SDP candidates cannot shine because any SDP contest becomes a debate on Chee Soon Juan. All it takes is for him to appear on stage and speak.

In GE2011, SDP did better without CSJ. New faces like Tan Jee Say, Michelle Lee and Ang Yong Guan were able to show a different side of SDP. And despite the leader now contesting and not being able to give a rally speech, SDP garnered a good share of votes everywhere. In both GE2015 and BE2016, the focus was entirely on CSJ. Every rally had him as the 'anticipated' last speaker and ended off with people garlanding CSJ and presenting him with bouquets.

This portrayal of CSJ as a martyr and a saint who is honoured by people is damaging to the SDP brand. SDP is not CSJ. In GE2011, SDP looked more credible and resilient. In GE2015 and BE2016, it regressed to a one-man party.

It might be time for SDP to shed the "Chee is a martyr whom we all admire" theme and elect a new charismatic leader. CSJ can remain as a member but SDP cannot afford to have him as the main face of the party.

THINK TWICE ABT USING ANSARI FRM SEVEN EVENTZ FOR YOUR WEDDING

$
0
0

In the midst of my honeymoon but I cannot stop thinking about the one vendor who made me tear during our reception. Perhaps anyone who is considering using him can take this as a public service announcement.

A and I began scouting for wedding decorators shortly after the proposal and settled upon Ansari from Seven Eventz in May 2015 as he seemed legit and had done deco for many weddings at Foochow Association before. He also arranged for our videographer, dj and wedding car.

Trouble only started in Mar this year when he failed to respond to our videographer's texts and didn't pay her the initial deposit until she informed us that she might have to drop us as clients and gave him a deadline. At this point, he refused to give us an explanation as to why he hadn't paid her and insisted we should trust him. This was also when I realised his FB page was defunct. Shortly after he paid her the deposit, he told us to pay her the remaining amount out of the final deposit we had to give him. Subsequently, we were also told to pay the wedding car driver and dj out of that deposit as well. No explanations given.

Fast forward to last Friday, he only provided 7 out of 11 tables that we had paid for as he insisted there wasn't enough space. He also didn't provide us with table centre pieces, although this was agreed upon but not stated in the contract. On Saturday, he was nowhere near the venue and instead, his men were still setting up the stage dais at 6pm. Guests were arriving from 530pm. There was no platform, no white carpet, no chandelier with side props-all of which were indicated in the contract and paid for. At 830pm, he fixed the platform and white carpet for the dais. He did not respond to calls multiple times throughout this period.

Until today, he has neither apologised and explained why there was a horror of a screw up nor refunded us for the items that were not provided. Thankfully, our friends were there to make do and buy props as necessary to fix what went wrong. Not everybody is as lucky, and more than anything, no bride should have to worry about such things. I would strongly encourage you to reconsider if you have booked or are planning to book Ansari from Seven Eventz for your wedding needs.

RECRUITER PUTS AD FOR "CORPORATE EVENT ASSISTANT" BUT SHE IS HIRING SOCIAL ESCORTS

Dear A.S.S,

I came across this job offer on Friday (6th May 2016). This job ad wrote "Corporate Event Assistant" and the job scope is ushering etc, i thought it is some corporate event assistant job that i worked before previously for some company. So I decided to give it a try and texted the given number.

Everything is as per normal but ONE THING THAT I FIND IT VERY WEIRD DURING OUR WHATSAPP CONVERSATION IS THAT..she don't reveal the details to me at all. She wanted to see me today (8th May 2016) 4pm at Bras Basah Starbucks to have a short interview. I felt uneasy, but i just gave it a try since the "interview" venue is at a crowded place.

So today 4pm, i sat outside the Starbucks and waiting for her, she was late. I expected a interviewer to dress like at least some casual dress or even jeans. I was wrong entirely, she came to me wearing a sloppy t shirts and shirts with a canvas bag (it looks empty inside). NO LAPTOP AND NO CONTRACT FORMS ETC. She sat down and start chatting with me very casually. She told that this was an ongoing event and my commitment to this job. I told her that i could only work till before 10 June as I am going overseas for leisure purposes. THIS WAS WHEN SHE FINALLY BRING IN THE TOPIC THAT SHE WAS WAITING FOR... she said that she did managed for overseas escort as well. Can earned at least 7K per month. She even say alot of university students work under her and they earned alot.

THE MOST DISGUSTED SENTENCE THAT I HEARD WAS... don't worry about privacy part, we would not reveal your faces but only the body.

I was angered and took my bag and leave. I SAID TO HER LOUDLY "I'M NOT INTERESTED IN THIS JOB AT ALL" . she kept on pestering and ask me why why why are you not interested?

Before I left, she said call me if you change your mind. And when she passed by me, she ROLLED her eyes. (and of course i rolled mine too)

This job ad is not as simple as being an event assistant, but something more than that. I felt very ashamed of such person existed, people like me are decently finding job to earn extra income and THIS KIND OF POLLUTANTS are setting some kind of trap to let job seekers to fall in.

I don't mind working $8/ hour pushing sales and get scolded by my boss if the sales are bad. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT WORK FOR $200/HOUR THAT IS AGAINST MY PRIDE, DIGNITY AND MORAL STANDARDS.

Pls take note *Her name is call Rebecca and she got a strong accent when conversing in English.

<Facebook complaint by Dianne Goh>

Hey guys, be careful if you see this guy around Bedok. He randomly pushed me many times and gave me a punch when I was just sitting at the taxi stand. If you see him please take a picture, note where you saw him and at what time, and send it to the police.

Do not approach him. I already told the police but he might attack other people randomly again. Please be careful. I am ok, only a bruise on my cheek. Sorry for the bad photos it was hard to get a good shot coz he was sitting against the light. Take care everyone.

KIND TAXI DRIVER SENT MOTHER & INJURED TODDLER TO HOSPITAL FOR FREE

When her 20 month old toddler accidentally sustained an injury to his finger, his young 24-year-old mother panicked and rushed him down immediately to take a taxi to the nearest hospital.

When she got to the foot of her block at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, she managed to flag down a Comfort taxi, which took her to KK Women's and Children Hospital.

However, in her frenzied rush to get her son to the hospital, the young Miss Liu had brought everything but her wallet along with her. She realized this about 5 minutes into the journey and frankly told the driver about her situation.

Instead of chasing the 2 out of his taxi, the kind uncle instead continued to console the panicky young mother and her toddler, and drove them to their destination for free.

Even though the mother had asked for the taxi driver's phone number so that she could repay him the amount she owes, she realized that she did not save the taxi driver's number in her handphone as she was in too much of a rush. The receipt that the taxi driver issued to her was also accidentally disposed off as she had placed it among several blood stained tissue papers used to stem her son's bleeding.

The young mother now hopes to find that taxi driver who picked them up through the media so that she can repay his kindness.
